Read on to find out how to empower both people and animals in the coming general election on Thursday, 6 May…
In the run up to the general election,
There are three questions for you to ask your local candidates, along with a little background on each, which can be found on our website’s homepage, and concern the future of countless suffering bears, whales and farm animals.
You can read our three questions and corresponding background information in full online or download to show to your local candidates.
There is also a poster for you to download – please display it proudly in your window, so canvassers know animals matter to you.

Thank you for speaking up for those without a voice in this election.

I have for many years found that to get politicians interested in animal welfare issues has been hard work. Their promises and pledges are generally quickly forgotten once they have achieved their salary and expenses. Tony Blair pledged to reform the IWC in 1997 and we know what happened to that one. Not one Party as far as I can remember has adopted a clear policy to recognise the immorality involved in using nonhuman primates, dogs and cats for research purposes as they are all in the pockets of the pharmaceutical industry.

Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
